The feeling I can't tell

I dont know what's wrong with me today. Feel like crying, but there's no tears left. Feel sad, but I don't know what is it all about...

So many images come through my mind... about the broken glasses, the injured puppy, and the missing dogs. Many bad things happened and I couldn't fix it. Is this the reason my heart feels uncomfortable?

I miss Magnum badly. I can't keep my promise to him, to give him a better place. It's too late :(

Magnum, wherever you are now, I wish you're happy and I will always love you, remember you for the rest of my life.

Morning Breakfast? Classic Doughnut @ Starbuck!

They say breakfast is vital for us to start our day. But, wrong food for breakfast is fatal for me. I'm quite choosy about the first food that would come into my stomach, especially early in the morning. After wake up, it takes about 2-3 hours for me to accept food. So, normally I take my breakfast around 10-11am.

Some people love to eat Nasi Lemak, sandwiches, fried rice, instant noodles, but I only need a cup of tea, and a little bit snack, such as kuih-muih or doughnut. And I found this incredibly delicious doughnut that I used to taste in during breakfast in Jakarta. Now, they serve this in Starbuck.

yay! big doughnut, huh! Enough for my morning breakfast :)

And, a cup of English Breakfast completes the routine.

Love this kind of morning. Thanks, Starbuck!  :-)

Now, they must gather the vampire clans for a battle in which their lives hang in balance." ~ Maxis-Movies

I would like to thank Sherry Degarmo for the screening passes. She couldn't make it to the screening last night, and offered the tickets to me :)

Twihards might feel sad after watching this, because this is the end of the series. But, have to be honest, Breaking Dawn Part 2 is the best compare with the other 4.

Bella is trying to get use with her power.

She even learns how to hunting food and control herself from the human blood.

Alice & Jasper hold a big part in saving Edward's family. I love Alice's character. :)

Dakota Fanning, charming as always as Jane.

The scene between Jacob and Renesmee. Many people says Jacob is pedophile, well Im not a fans of Jacob, but I don't see in this movie that Jacob is showing pedophile's symptoms. :p

The best part of the movie is the fighting. For the first time in my life, watching Twilight is never boring!! LOL.

Wanna know how's the ending? Go and watch! After all, it's the END ^^

Cold War (2012)

Stars : Aarif Rahman, Aaron Kwok, Andy Lau, Charlie Young, Eddie Peng, Tony Leung Ka-fai
Director : Longman Leung, Sunny Luk
Genre : Action / Crime / Drama
Release Date : 8 Nov 2012

The hijackers appear to possess direct knowledge of police procedures so despite their tactics, the hijackers are always steps ahead. With no choice in sight, the police must meet a list of demands to ensure the hostages' release, which includes the delivery of a huge ransom. Any delay will cost lives. The clock is ticking..." ~ Maxis Movie

I wasn't a big fan of Aaron Kwon. My sister was. She was a huge fan ( I don't know if she's still.. :p ), so I dedicated this movie to her, because I would never forget, since I was a little, she always told me that Aaron Kwok is the most handsome guy on earth. LOL.

Special thanks to Churp Churp for the premiere tickets. It's been almost a year since I watched movie with them, and I really enjoyed the night. The movie was good, even though it's a little bit confusing if you're not familiar with Hongkong Police Department. (I watch American movies more than Hongkong movies).

A bit disappointed with the ending thou... it's too simple and easy to guess (once again, maybe because I watch too many American movies), but the ending could make you think there will be sequel soon =)

Over all, it's a must watch movie, especially if you're a big fan of Aaron Kwok, Andy Lau, or Leslie Cheung.

Rescuing 5 Puppies that Hiding Under a Stack of Concrete

Last night was one kind of a night. After heard from a guard that there are few puppies hiding under a stack of concrete, behind a management office of Aman Height's Condominium, we were planning to remove them, placed them inside a cage and asked the guard to temporary keep them until they are ready for adoption.

After work, my friends and I went to Klang to get a cage donated by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better, and reached the puppies' place at around 10pm. We never thought that trying to make the puppies go out from that small hole was a really tough thing to do.

here's the "hole" where they were staying, and we tried to catch them at the night, in the dark.

With the help from the uncle guard, my FB Friend, Christine Fong and her husband, we managed to catch all 5 of them. Catching the mother dog was the easiest part because apparently we feed her every day, and we didn't notice that she was pregnant that time. Seriously, her stomach didn't indicate that she's pregnant at all!

It took 2 hours for us to catch 5 of them. We almost gave up when we managed to catch 2 only, but thinking how the other 3 could survive without their mother for a night, we decided to try again. The uncle guard found a long stick for us to push the puppies out from their hiding place, and Christine's husband has quite long hand that he successfully grabbed and dragged out the puppies.

After successfully moved all the puppies and the mother inside a cage, Christine gave them towel and clothes to keep them warm. We saw a lot of scars and wound on their body, also fleas and ticks, but nothing we could do to clean them up at that time, because it was late. We talked to the uncle guard, and he told me that he will take good care of them until they are ready to be put for adoption, and the mother dog's been spayed, but he worried that his boss would disagree. We told him not to worry, and will talk with his boss next thing in the morning.

We did, and thank God the boss is also a dog lover chinese man. He even fed them this morning, and after explained him what had happened, he allowed us to keep the dog and her pups there. Seriously, if all the people are like him and the uncle guard, I would be more than happy to spend my extra time to rescue all the strays and implement TNRM in Bukit Serdang would be more fast than I ever expected!

Now, rescuing is an easy thing, the hardest part is to foster and take care of them. We would need:
1. Puppy foods for the mother dog and the puppies.
2. Newspapers & towels
3. Medicated shampoo & bayticol
4. Collar and leash for the mother dog

If any of you would like to donate some to us, please feel free to email me at: mikhaela.chan@gmail.com or text/call to: 017-3576111.

Here's the picture of them, after being rescued. =)

Pretty mother dog. She looks a bit old, doesn't she?

Fight for the food!!! =)

Finally, the mom gave up and let the kids eat...

The roof made by uncle guard

There are 1 male and 4 females.

We are still hungry

The brown was the last pup we caught.

she still dislike us for grabbing her out :p

Place where they live now... safe even though not really comfortable.
In about a month, they will be ready for adoption. It's free of charge, so if anyone interested, please feel free to contact me. I will post their updates.

Love,
Mikha

Lunch at Caribbean Cafe, Kuchai Lama

Caribbean Cafe 吹水站 @ Kuchai Lama

Address:  32A-G, Jalan Kuchai Maju 1,
Off Jalan Kuchai Lama,58200 Kuala Lumpur.

                                Tel        :   03-79822634

Went to Kuchai Lama today for lunch today, and I felt like eating western food. Heard that Caribbean Cafe serves a not-so-bad western food, so my friends & I decided to try.

It was quite empty considering lunch hours at that time, had a little doubt, but my stomach couldn't wait for us to find another place to eat. They have set lunch menu at RM10.90 for a main course, soup of the day, drink and dessert. Too bad, there's no steak or any western food on the set lunch menu, so I had to order a la carte.

My friend ordered the set lunch, which consist of:

Soup of the day
The soup of the day was Vegie soup, and my friend's comment was only "too many MSG!"

Drink
The drink was Ice Jasmine Tea. For set lunch, please refer to the behind glass, at the in front one was ordered a la carte by me. :)

Fried La Mian
This was really so not recommended food to order. The mee was to soft, sticky, and tasteless, even though they put a lot of MSG. It would only give you a dry, and thirsty feel on your tongue.

Lamb Chop
My a la carte Lamb Chop that cost me RM 15.90. The lamb was so small, and once again, the black pepper sauce was too mild. The french fries was good, though. :)

This place is good as a hang out / yamcha place, because they serve nice drinks and french fries, but definitely not a recommended place for your hungry stomach. =)

PhiloSophy In My Life

Philo & Sophy were 2 abandoned puppies that I found and successfully re-homed to a very lovely couple in Malacca, Doris & Frankie. It was months ago, and they never fail to update me by sending emails and photos until now.

I would like to share their latest email to all of you, and if you are a dog-lovers, animal activists, feeders or rescuers, you might know how delightful I am to have this kind of adopter. :)

Dear Zofa,

Long time did not send pictures of the two gladiators girls of ours. They have grown up and still a little naughty I would say for biting things around the garden. They are very happy with us and can be very lovable at times when they don't fight.

Grace (Philo) & Bunny (Sophy)

The older girl is Grace but she is not as graceful as I want her to be becos she sits very funny and exposing her.................you know what I mean ? She is very vocal and always quarrel with her papa. She growls and bark at her papa when he comes home from his regular games. We don't understand what her barks are and she can really scold for quite a while before she stops and warm up with her dad. She warms up with mama too and loves to be loved and cuddled.

As for Bunny the little girl can be very fierce with Grace.Don't see her small in size ,she can be a chilli padi and always pick up fight with Grace over food or toys. Now they fight less but have to keep an eye on them otherwise they can start a ferocious fight anytime. We will always tell them off if they start growling at each other and they dare not fight becos papa mama will scold and warn them.

They have they regular meals of dry food in the morning while dinner is cooked rice with chicken and vegetables. In between they have plenty of fresh mangoes from our trees and they can eat faster than my hand can feed. They eat the flesh of the mangoes while we eat the seed. How lucky they are !!!

We love them and we really do becos they are a joy to us. All dogs are beautiful and a good companion as long they don't fight la. Initially when they came they fight almost daily and a big headache for us becos we have to dress their wounds after the fight. Now they are grown up and less fighting but we have to keep an eye on them. They know how to come to us for love and hugs and little Bunny always jealous when I hug Grace and she will push her way in to be loved first. She knows how to stare at Grace if she never gets her hugs and kisses.

I love them equally and always spend time to be with them and talk to them as well. Bunny clever to buy our hearts by bringing toys to us each time she sees us. You know what her gifts of toys she brings for us ? Enclosed herewith are the toys she has. You can see how many pairs of garden sandals both sisters have bitten to bits. They can be very destructive. But never mind la papa mama loves them and let it be.

Will keep you post dated of their well being again and thank you so much for bring these two devils to us.

Regards,

Doris and Frankie

God knows how to do His magic. When I'm feeling tired and hopeless with rescuing and rehoming, He asks these lovely people to send this email to me. :-)

Rainbow Bridge

3 months without blogging, and now I'm missing it. What had happened? A lot of things had happened. I lost 5 puppies at the beginning of June, and I couldn't stop blaming myself.

I brought few puppies from the street, and quarantined them for about 2 weeks. When I was sure that they are healthy, I took them to adoption drive. They haven't got any vaccination on that time, and I guess that's my biggest mistake. Few days after that, one by one was having diarrhea, refused to eat, and just laying down inside the cage. I was in Jakarta that time, and my friend told me that 2 puppies has gone.

I rushed myself back home, and by that time, from 10 puppies I've lost 5. It caused by a virus called Parvo.

From top left to the down right: Climber, Yuri, Yumi, Paul Frank, and Whitney.

Even though everyone tried to convince me that it wasn't my fault, I still sometimes blame myself, 'if only I didn't bring them home...'

I know, you all are happy now, in Rainbow Bridge...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Puppies are Everywhere!!

Yes, I know.. I was missing, then back again, missing then back again. I really can't put my ass in front of the computer and write something to update this blog. But, i have many stories to tell. Should I hire a writer, then? :p

I'm busy with puppies now. Lots of puppies. They are not puppies from the pet shop or purebreds or intentionally breeding them for sale. These puppies are stray.

Few months ago, I kept on complaining people who let their dogs roaming around and mating with other dogs. Why I complaint? Because they don't want to spay or neuter their dogs and when the dog gets pregnant, they just simply throw the puppies to the street. Then, when the puppies grow, they produce more and more, finally, we complaint to local council to catch all the strays in the neighborhood, because they are disturbing. You see, if you read again from the top, who made the mistake, actually?

How many puppies are there in the picture? I found them at abandoned land nearby my house. There are 10 puppies! Few of them have skin disease, while the others might be ok. To be sure they are healthy, I have to bring them home, quarantine them for round 2 weeks, and check their stool, behavior and appetite. If everything ok, of course they are ready to be put for adoption.

But the problem is, I can't bring those 10 puppies to home. :( have no enough time and manpower to do so, plus there are another 28 monsters in my house. So, what I can do now is taking 2-3 puppies home, and take the rest once the previous have been adopted.

I pray there's no heavy rain.

Please let me know if you want to adopt a puppy or could give me a hand to temporary foster them.

Thanks and lotsa love,
Mikha

The Vow (2012)

Stars : Channing Tatum, Dillon Casey, Jessica McNamee, Rachel McAdams
Director : Michael Sucsy
Genre : Drama / Romance
Release Date : 22 Mar 2012

Synopsis:
Based on a book of the same title, a car accident puts Paige (Rachel McAdams) in a coma, and when she wakes up with a severe memory loss, her husband Leo (Channing Tatum) works to win her heart all over again in this heart-warming tale of love and second chances. ~ Maxis Movies

Every times after watched romantic drama movie, I was wondering, is there any good man in the real life just as in the movie? Finally, this movie gave me the answer, YES! because, the story was based on a true story.

The Vow is based on the actual relationship of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter, who wrote a book about their marriage, also known as The Vow. Ten weeks after their wedding on 18 September 1993, the couple was in an automobile accident in which Krickitt suffered brain trauma, which erased memories of her romance with Kim as well as their recent marriage. Kim, however, was still madly in love with his wife, although his wife viewed him as a stranger after the accident. However, according to the couple, their faith in Jesus and their wedding vows before God kept them together.

And Channing Tatum is really adorable in this movie. An athletic, handsome, and charming guy with a huge heart. I enjoyed my time watching him in this movie :p
