Dinner @ Hard Rock Cafe, Kuala Lumpur

HARD ROCK CAFE
Address: Ground Floor, Wisma Concorde
Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur
Phone: 03-2715-5555
Open time: 11am-2.30am (kitchen closes at 10.30pm)

Last night after my class, Reco Wong picked me up and she looked a bit upset. She told me that there's something about her job thingy, and she's kinda stress.

My mother always told me that there's many ways to help people with their problems, even though the help doesn't always to solve the problem itself, but at least we could help to clear her mind so that she could think of way to solve the problem. And, one of that help is : to cheer her up =)

I know well she loves to eat, especially good foods. That's why I decided to take her the place that she's never been there before, and my choice was correct! ^.^
The Stage
I love the ambiance here. Full of music but it's not noisy. The staffs also are very friendly. They serve us with manners, patience, and informative.

Someone's having birthday here :)
There's a customer who's having birthday that night, and the staffs made her day so special by complied with her friends to surprise her. She's a real happy lady that night ^^

The Photographer was not in d mood.
Reco Wong was not in the mood of photography that night, that's why most of the photos are dark. Well, definitely she's in the mood with food once she saw the menu. LOL.
Electrical drink ~ Shoot you till u get sober! lol
She asked for a cocktail and the waiter suggested this drink to her, to boost her with energy, fresh, and surprise feeling =)

Raspberry Smoothies
A non-alcohol drink for me. Hmmm... I'm kinda proud of myself for free from caffeine for almost a year and alcohol for almost a month. hahahahah ^.^ The smoothies is very good, if you are a banana lover. :p

Our first appetizer. We always like to try nachos in everywhere. Hard Rock cafe Nachos is good, perfect combination between the cheese and the crispy. If you like cheese too much, I suggest you to try Library's nachos :)

Chili Crabmeat Dip
This one is awesome!! I know some people must be wondering, "chilli crabmeat in Hard Rock Cafe?" Hell yeah! You don't have to go to Klang or Jalan Alor and spend more than RM50 to eat the chilli crabmeat with mandao (bread). You can come here and just spend RM20, guarantee satisfied your stomach =) Love this one very muchie!! ^^

Hickory-Smoked Pulled-Lamb Sandwich
A little disappointed when the waitress said there's no lamb shank's available so Reco had to change her main course with this sandwich. Apparently, this ain't bad at all! the lamb was soft and tender, plus there's no smell of the lamb. No regret, yet she said "I'll come back soon for the lamb shank!"

Reco likes lamb very much, because she doesn't really like fish, bored with chicken, and can't eat beef. To respect her religion for not eating beef, whenever I go out with her, I never order any beef in the menu. Guess what, it's been more than 3 years I'm a beef-free! =P

Mac Chicken & Cheese
My childhood favorite! Look at the macaroni-es.. they cooked well and fair with the cheese. But I love moreeee cheeseeeee!! I will request more cheese next time.

They gave us candle light :) sweet!
If you are not a big-eater, I suggest you t share the food with your friends, because the portion is kinda big. The last call from the kitchen is at 10.30PM, so faster order and enjoy your meal, and after that you can enjoy the live music with drinks.

Total bill for our meals was less than RM200. And once again, the friendly waitress asked us whether we had a member card? He advised us to make a member card at the merchandise shop next to the cafe, so that we could entitled for 10% discount. The discount is valid for all Hard Rock Cafe all around south-east Asia, while in other countries, we could collect points. He waited us to make the member card, and settled our bill after. :)

The member card costs RM90 for a life time, and you will get a goodies bag as well ^^.

Smile!! :)
She's back to normal!! A cheerful and happy gurl :) After the meal, we sat a while, then continue to 2nd round bar in the Concorde hotel.

A bit info about her. She's an eldest from 6 siblings, has a strong character, kinda rude, and macho (but not tomboy - yet, sometimes people think she is). Actually, she's not as strong as she looks. She's also fragile, low-self esteem, and definitely not a sweet-talker! She talks fact, not bullshit, but sometimes, people are happy to be bullshit-ed, that's why it's hard for her to build a good relationship with those kinds of people.

By all accounts, she is a good person. Loves her family. Works hard, and shoulders all her responsibilities.

She is a person that any one of us would be proud to call "FRIEND".

Buen provecho!!!

Hoodwinked Too! Movie Premiere @ Cathay Cinema, e@Curve

Once again, thanks to http://www.hahah.com.my and http://www.cinemaonline.com.my for giving me a free movie premiere tickets so I could bring my little sister to watch it with me as well. :)

It's a fortune that the movie's premiere was on Wednesday, where my Chelsea Wong doesn't have a tuition class, so Mrs. Lai allowed me to bring her for a movie even though tomorrow would be school day. So, all of us were very HAPPY ^.^

Red Riding Hood's making peace with the Wolf =)

Hoodwinked Too is a sequel from Hoodwinked. I didn't watch the first, but don't be afraid, you'll easily understand what the story's about.
our heroine, Red (Hayden Panettiere), training with a mysterious covert group called the Sisters of the Hood. But Red is forced to cut her training short when she gets an urgent call from Nicky Flippers (David Ogden Stiers), who returns as head of the super-secret Happily Ever After Agency, aka the HEA.

They look innocent. Do they????

A wicked witch (Joan Cusack) has abducted two innocent children, Hansel (Bill Hader) and Gretel (Amy Poehler), and Nicky needs Red for the search-and-rescue mission. Of course, what is a sequel without guest stars from the original? Thankfully, Granny (Glenn Close) and the rest of the HOODWINKED gang—including the ever-clueless Wolf (Patrick Warburton) and his over-caffeinated little partner, Twitchy (Cory Edwards), join Red to solve the forest’s latest caper. Fracturing fairy tales and pop culture with good-nature glee, HOODWINKED TOO! HOOD vs. EVIL in 3D takes viewers on a rollicking roller-coaster ride combining edge-of-the-seat adventure with classic, zany cartoon antics.

Funky & Wise Granny :)

It was jam and pouring rain when I was on the way to catch this movie. We took train from KL Sentral to Kelana Jaya continued with bus to e@Curve. We reached there around 8.40pm and they still allowed us to get the tickets. Chelsea Wong was so happy =)

The Roommate Movie Premiere, GSC 1 Utama

Have you watch "The Rommate" in cinema? Well, before you regret to spend some ringgits for this movie, better check for the review, right? :)

Sara (Minka Kelly) is fresh on campus from Iowa. But her new roomie, Hot Rebecca (Leighton Meester) is an Angelino and is wise to the ways of LA. Rich, friendly and helpful, she’s the kind of girl who’ll pick you up when your friends have ditched you at the club in the middle of the night. She’s just a little clingy, is all.

Hottie Gurl
Not much at all is up with “The Roommate,” a timid thriller that manages a couple of mild jolts and a couple of creepy-cringe-worthy moments in its Variations on a “Single White Female” theme. Yes, this is another horrific tale of roommates gone wrong.
Will you freak out?
The warning signs are Rebecca’s tendency toward over-protectiveness. She wants to know where where Sara is at all hours, expects her to call and punishes her “Girls Gone Wild” pal Tracy when she’s up too late. That seriously cramps Sara’s style with frat boy drummer, Hot Steven (Can Gigandet).
Sara ex-bf looks hotter than him :p
Meester and Kelly fail to fire up the tension as Rebecca turns weirder and Sara, in between costume changes, begins to sense something is up. Neither Rebecca’s madness nor Sara’s alarm at it have suspense, urgency or anything near the amperage to make “The Roommate” set off sparks.

Special thanks to http://www.hahah.com.my and http://cinemaonline.com.my for giving me free movie tickets. You guys are the drugs that helps my addict to movie ^^

If you still curious, why don't you look at the trailer first:

See for your self!

Red Riding Hood Movie Premiere @ GSC One Utama

It's a story about a girl name Valerie, a beautiful young woman torn between two men. She is in love with a brooding outsider Peter, but her parents have arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry.

handsome or not?

Unwilling to lose each other, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they learn that Valerie's older sister has been killed by the werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village.

I prefer him =P
For years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast, offering the creature a monthly animal sacrifice. But under a blood red moon, the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life.

Hungry for revenge, the people call on famed werewolf hunter, Father Solomon, to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon's arrival brings unintended consequences as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form by day, could be any one of them.

As the death toll rises with each moon, Valerie begins to suspect that the werewolf could be someone she loves. Panic grips the town as Valerie discovers that she has a unique connection to the beast--one that inexorably draws them together, making her both suspect...and bait. (Warner Bros. Pictures)

Watch the trailer for your reference :p

Similar with Twilight? That' because they're same producer. The setting and story plot are look-alike, plus... handsome boys and pretty girl are all around. But, I more prefer this one rather than twilight, because the girl's character in this movie is stronger, more active, and also charming. Plus, the handsome boy didn't need to put white powder on his face. hahaha =P

*Twilight fans, no offense ya*

Get the free tickets screening from the one and only awesome people: http://www.cinemaonline.com.my and http://www.hahah.com.my.

Ticket booth
There's also free tickets from the Star newspaper, but only lucky 50 person who queue up and get it.
See how long the queue...
An old uncle was the first in the line =)

My friend, Reco, also won a ticket from a blogger, but there was a problem. The blogger came late to collect her tickets, and the ticket booth has been closed. She missed the movie which actually started at 9PM, but finally she managed to get her tickets and catch another session at 9.30PM. :)

If you love twilight & romanticism, you gotta watch this movie. ^.^

Enjoy the movie =)

Olivenz Steamboat, Puchong

Venue: No.2, Jalan Puteri 2/5
Bandar Puteri 47100 Puchong
Contact No.: +6016-9592348

Going to church for Holy Saturday mass, but before we went to pick up Reco's sister, Rowye from work and decided to dine steamboat, as the weather is a perfect match! :)

We chose Olivenz Steamboat in Puchong because it's near Rowye's office and also there's a church nearby.
The buffet style steamboat charge you RM23.80++ for adult and RM13.80++ for children.

It was very crowded, might be cause it's saturday and rainy night :)

There's side dishes such as chicken wings, keropok, and fried mee hon that has been ready-cooked while waiting your steamboat soup to be boiled if you're too hungry and can't wait :)

Many types of chili to dip your steamboat on. From belacan to prawn fried chili.

I chose to make my own chili, which a mixture between all the chilies plus garlic and soya sauce. Taste? Better than their original :)

So here you are, our steamboat! The soup on the left was the original chicken soup and tomyam soup on the right.

My seafood. The prawns were awesome!

My enemies :p I really don't like mushroom, but I don't mind to put in on my dishes, as long as I don't need to eat it.

Water crest vegie. In Wong's family rules of Steamboat, this vegie is a must!

And in Chan's family, Kang Kung is a must! lol :p
Try to put the Kang Kung in the tom yam soup, it tastes excellent.

My bowl of prawn tom-yam :)

This' Reco's creation to cook the Pork slice mix with egg. They said it will make your meat more tender and yummy. I said, it's just the same. hahahha. You go and try, and let me know how :)

And this one, is the Queen of Rice!!! Most of the steamboat places won't provide rice for you, but Chelsea Wong would never satisfied to eat if there's no rice... Her lovely sister tabao-ed for her.

Thank God, He reminded me to eat till full before going to church, because the Mass today was ended at around 12AM, and we'll get starving if we didn't... :)

Happy Easter, everyone.
God Bless You ^.^

PS: Here's how you get there =)

Old Town White Coffee, SunwayMas Commercial Center

Venue: 1, Jalan PJU1/3A, Sunwaymas Commercial Centre, 47301
Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Phone No: 03-7803-5966

While waiting for Chelsea's award ceremony, Reco, Stacia and I went to have a breakfast at Old Town White Coffee.

The famous kopitiam in Malaysia that turns to many franchises, even my sister said now there's one franchise in Jakarta.

Reco opened her day with White Milk Tea, while Stacia chose to drink her favorite mamak drinks,
Teh Tarik.

That's mine. To stimulate my stomach to get going faster to toilet, I chose to drink Lemon Pepsi in the morning!
Nasi Lemak Rendang.
Long time ago, I love to eat this, but I don't know why nowadays their chicken is not that good anymore. It's so dry and hard to chew.
Fire Polo Bun.
And yes, all those two items was belong to Stacia herself. It's too heavy for a breakfast, isn't it? but obviously not for her =P

And this was mine. French Toast.

Kaya Butter toast, but special requested by Reco Wong, NO KAYA.
My sister loves to eat this toast and she calls it as "ABRAKADABRA Toast".
Reason..? well, it's too ridiculous tho, so I won't tell. hahaha :))

We spent RM32. 40 for all the foods and drinks. Kinda bloated for a breakfast early in the morning, huh? =P

Bon Apetite <3
