Cameron Valley Tea Cafe @ Jalan Telawi, Bangsar

CAMERON VALLEY TEA CAFE
NO. 28, JALAN TELAWI 5
BANGSAR BARU, KL
TEL: 03-2202 2155
OPEN HOURS: 10AM - 10PM

Last Sunday, after took my furkids to grooming I had a sudden urge for tea-break. It was 6pm, and my friend suggested me to go to a coffee shop, but these days whenever I smell coffee, I vomit! So, after spent about 20 mins to round and round and round in Jalan Telawi, we spotted this place.

I asked the waitress whether they allow me to bring my fur kids and sit at the patio, and they said YES! yay, another pet friendly place? well, im not quite sure about that, have to double confirm with them, but I guess, if you sit outside with your fur kids, it shouldn't be a problem.

Zack, my boy, after grooming.

The noisy, Ace has to sit on Reco's lap coz he's too noisy barking at the passer-by.

Cameron Valley Tea Cafe in Bangsar is part of Cameron Bharat Plantations company. They bring the delicate Cameron tea and their special home-made scones right to Kuala Lumpur, in case you miss it but don't want drive to long to Cameron Highland. Beside tea and scones, they also have many variety food for you to try start from appetizer, sandwiches, salad, pastas and local noodles.

Menu

Their special Teh Tarik is really special. Somehow, the over-pricing is worth.

Teh Tarik

There's something funny when we ordered the tea. We ordered Earl Grey tea, but when it came, it smelled like strawberry. At first, we thought the strawberry smell comes from the strawberry jam of our Scones set, but when we drank the tea, we confirmed it's Strawberry Tea. We asked the waitress what tea they served us and he told me it's Earl Grey. Well, that could be the weirdest Earl Grey I ever drank, for a huge fans of Earl Grey like me. :)

So, we don't want to make things more complicated and just let it, because the Strawberry-Earl-Grey Tea they served us was good as well. It's refreshing and... different. And next time we come, we will try to order Strawberry Tea to make sure ourselves about this. :))

Strawberry / Earl Grey Tea?

This was the one we are waiting for.. Home-made Scones Set!! =) This is the best! The scones was perfect with the butter, strawberry jam and cream. I love this to the max!!

We tried their sandwiches, Chicken & Cheese, served with Salad. This one is a must try also. Rich in topping and delicious. For the salad, one of my friend who's a cherry tomato's lover told me that their cherry tomatoes ain't fresh, but the way their mix with the dressing made the salad tasted good.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with this place. Their food's delicate and their service's awesome. If you prefer to sit indoor, they have a very comfortable bean bag for you to relax and enjoy your tea-time with your friends. For me, the patio is more than enough to enjoy my time with my lovely fur-kids and friends. :)

Definitely will be back to this place =)

Love,
Mikha

Happy Feet 2

Stars : Brad Pitt, Elijah Wood, Hank Azaria, Hugo Weaving, Matt Damon, Pink, Robin Williams
Director : George Miller
Genre : Animation / Family / Kids
Release Date : 17 Nov 2011
Runtime : minutes

Synopsis:
Mumble the penguin has a problem: his son Erik, who is reluctant to dance, encounters The Mighty Sven, a penguin who can fly! Things get worse for Mumble when the world is shaken by powerful forces, causing him to brings together the penguin nations and their allies to set things right.

A good movie to be watched with your family especially if you have little sister/brother. Don't think it's a silly kid's movie and no worth to watch by adults, in fact, I noticed a lot of adults' crying during the movie while the kids were so happy to see the penguins dancing with the beat of music.

There are many meaningful lessons and messages presented by this movie as well. It teaches its viewers about accepting one's uniqueness, living life to the fullest and recognizing the presence of other people. The story of Mumble, Gloria and Erik has inspired me. This penguin family has shown the true meaning of a "happy family." They are always available for each other no matter what happens. Mumble, as the head of the family, did all that he can to make his wife and son feel love and care all the time. Another character in the film that moved me is Erik. He is a cute baby penguin who has no interest in dancing unlike all the other penguins in his community. His uniqueness made him feel that he is an outcast. However, as he takes the adventure of life and love, he realizes that being unique makes him stand out among the rest. It was great to see that Erik, at a young age, discovered his true self.

Happy!!! ^__^

Nick agrees, however, things are not as simple as it seems when Nick is soon called upon to return the favour with actions that goes against his morals.

Nicholas Cage was the only reason that made me watch this movie. And, obviously, if it's not him, I would think twice. The story was kinda interesting, but there were few unclear scenes. If you're a fans of Nicholas Cage, You should watch this. If you're not... well, just enjoy the interesting story about justice in our daily life.

Once again, it's because of Nicholas Cage... :p

Thanks to GSCMOVIES for the premiere screening tickets ^^

My Nuffnang Story

It was on 31 March 2011 when I first created my very first blog. I came across to read Isaac's blog and saw that little cute Nuffnang's ad, and wonder myself, what's that. Google-d it and found the website, so without further ado, I clicked SIGN UP.

Isaac also introduced me to another bloggers via twitter, and we finally met at the premiere screening organized by Nuffnang. It's really the first time for me to meet new friends from the internet and could finally meet up in real. Not only 1-2 friends, but I gained more than 10 friends after I joined Nuffnang.

I felt very happy whenever I've been invited to the premiere screening because movie is my drugs. Super 8 was the first movie from Nuffnang, and once again, I gained more and more friends. I got to know friendly Nuffies, like Anne, Fresh, Farah and the latest one is Mikaela.
Beautiful Nuffies

Mikhaela & Mikaela :)

Not only movies, Nuffnang has also given me a lot of extra ordinary experiences full with joy and fun. They invited me to attend gadget launching event, such as Blackberry and Samsung, taught me how to make up with L'oreal event, bring me to party with Twisties, and many more.

Even though I'm a lousy blogger, because I'm too busy to update my blog in daily basis, Nuffnang still be kindly invites me to any event they have. I loveeeee loveee lovee Nuffnang! To close year 2011, in the middle of December, Nuffnang presents the second edition of the Blog Awards as a celebration of the rapidly expanding blogging community in the Asia-Pacific region. I would like to attend this award ceremony, and my main purpose is.....
Yeahh.. to see the Nuffnang's founder in person!!! I know, I could meet him at his office (if I'm lucky and he's not busy), but I wish to see him on the stage of the NAPBASS award, hear his pubic speech, and learn from this below-30-years-old successful entrepreneur on how to be successful like him. It's so damn cool to be a boss in a young age, have young employees, and live our working life with fun, dynamic and fresh! At least, that's what I think of Nuffnang. =)

Really appreciate what Nuffnang's doing with my life. Thanks a lot Nuffnang!! I will be more diligent, and write more and more and more so next 2 years I could be in the list of NAPBASS' nominee. ^^

Yay!!

Remember my previous post  My Chihuahuas, the Real Adventure ? Thanks to NuffnangMY for picking my post to win a premiere tickets to watch this movie. It's a very good movie, good animation, interesting story, and for those who never read Tin Tin's comic before, afraid not, as the story is easy to catch.

Watched this with Stacia, without Reco Wong. She's busy with meeting and appointment, too bad for her... :p but we might probably gonna watch it again with her little siblings as well. You see, how good is the movie ^^

watch out for the trailer here:

Enjoy!!

Deepavali Trip to Bagan Lalang with Buddies

Welcome to Bagan Lalang Beach
It's so good having a best friend to share with, chit-chat with, and spend the time together with, and thank God I found not only one but few...

the girls going to the shop.. for shopping!
We've planned this trip about 2 weeks before the H-day. To arrange a one day trip is kinda hard for us, because we don't always have the same off-time. We have different working time. Crystal is a beautician who mostly be busy during public holiday, Reco is a banker who sometimes has appointment with her customer even in holiday time. Chian Ye is a student who's busy with her school assignments and projects, while Kei-Kei and Alicia are office staffs. So, it's really a bless we could gather for a one day trip on Deepavali holiday.

Cute bao-bei posing =)
We met up around 8am in the morning and had a breakfast together. We also brought some cold drinks, tuna sandwich, and nasi lemak for our lunch. Drove 2 cars, and it's Kei-kei's first time driving to Bagan Lalang with her new car. So, it's kinda excited!!

Shopping & shopping
Girls are girls... the first thing we did when we're reached were shopping! we bought floppy beach hat and also beach toys. I saw many colorful windmills for sale there, and it reminds me of my childhood time. I used to beg my daddy to buy this for me whenever I saw it.

beautiful and colorful
The cute little girl in the picture is Crystal's daughter, Jamie Leong. She's our favorite. I found out that she has talent in modelling. Her acts during the photography sessions were so hilarious! She stunned us with her innocent look and actions. She's a sweet darl <3

my favorite picture

I-Scream.. anyone?
Thank God it's not raining during the times we spent on the beach. We played water, sand, and caught small crabs. Doing cam-whore, and relaxed on the mat chit-chating.

Few hours trying to make a sand castle...

Our catching of the day ^^

left to right: Crystal, Reco, Alicia, Chian Ye, Kei-Kei
My buddies =) They are so adorable right? 3 of them are not available :p hahaha.

Now... guess who is the lovely girl hiding behind her floppy beach hat? =)

It's a very blissful day, indeed.

My Chihuahuas, the Real Adventurer

My chihuahuas are tiny, but they are MIGHTY. I've taken them to many places, such as mall, beach, hill and cinema. Playground is like a gym for them, where they can practice to run and keep fit.

They confront tigers with no fear :)

Or even ride an elephant.

and also be a life guard :)

My Chi's also knows how to function a laptop, and watch their favourite movie, Criminal Minds.

Plus, they never outdated. iPad is their gadget to collect information from the internet before they start their adventure. :)

They have no fear (except to me), and such a great partner-in-crime. I've almost done everything with them, but now realize that the only thing we haven't done is GET ON THE BOAT!!

I'm not sure if my Chi's would have a seasickness as I do. Well, for sure it's hard to get a boat for dogs in Malaysia here. I read on the news that I could take them for a ferry ride to Langkawi, but they must be put inside the crate and placed in cargo area. That's the problem....

They won't like to stay inside there... so, it's another challenge for us to "smuggle" them inside my bag and sit in the cabin. And if they could make it till Langkawi ( I really hope they won't bark >.< ) then my Chihuahuas are equal with Snowy, Tin Tin's dog!!

I need to watch The Adventures of Tin Tin, to make sure that dogs won't get seasickness on the boat =) And, NuffnangMY is giving out premiere screening for this movie. Yay!! For more details on how to get the tickets, click in HERE.

Finger crossed!! ^^

Shark Night 3D

Synopsis:
Arriving by boat at her family’s Louisiana lake island cabin, Sara and her friends quickly strip down to their swimsuits for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when star football player Malik stumbles from the salt-water lake with his arm torn off, the party mood quickly evaporates. Assuming the injury was caused by a freak wake-boarding accident, the group realizes they have to get Malik to a hospital on the other side of the lake, and fast. But as they set out in a tiny speedboat, the college friends discover the lake has been stocked with hundreds of massive, flesh-eating sharks! As they face one grisly death after another, Sara and the others struggle desperately to fend off the sharks, get help and stay alive long enough to reach the safety of dry land.

Thanks to NuffnangMY for the invitation to the premiere screening.
From the title, I knew that this is gonna be another not-so-good movie that full of sexy girls, stupid guys, and shark obviously. But since I've been too long dealing with my dogs, I was very excited to watch this movie. Apparently, it's not that bad. The most I love in this movie is the Labrador dog. He is so loyal and clever, and funny.

Well, there's question from some people, why is the title Shark Night while all the killing scene is on the day light? In my opinion, probably it not literally means the Shark comes at the night, but there's another "Shark" at the night. :) Complicated? watch the movie then you might understand what I mean. ^^

Meanwhile, enjoy the trailer <3

Mikha

Mauled By Rottweilers. Why the blame is always on the Dog?

PETALING JAYA: Being mauled by a Rottweiler is enough to kill a person. However, a tractor driver survived an attack by three Rottweilers for about 25 minutes.

Ting Soon Teck, 33, who was bitten all over his body, required 150 stitches and still winces when he recalls the Sept 18 incident.

The father of three had gone fishing with his brother-in-law at a private fishing pond in Taman Orkid Desa that day.

The brother-in-law then complained of a headache and went to their car parked a distance away to take a nap.
‘That’s how I fought them’: Ting showing his injuries at his home in Jalan Kasawari, Puchong, yesterday
“After two hours, I decided to leave with my catch of two fish.

“I called out to the pond owner but five Rottweilers raced towards me instead. Before I knew it, three of them pounced on me and began mauling me.

“I felt pain and could feel their teeth sinking into my flesh although I tried to ward off the attack by punching and kicking the dogs.

“One ripped off the flesh above my ankle before eating it.

“I could even see my bone,” he said at his Jalan Kasawari home in Puchong yesterday.

Ting said he thought he would die and almost gave up hope. “But I just threw punches until my knuckles were bruised and bleeding.”

After about 15 minutes, the fishpond owner's wife, in her 60s, heard his cries for help, rushed over to him and tried to pull the dogs away.

About 10 minutes later, his brother-in-law, who heard the commotion, also helped pull the dogs away and rushed Ting to a private hospital.

“The doctors were taken aback by the extent of my injuries and I was close to death,” he said.
“I was soaking in my own blood.”

A police report was lodged and the pond owner, in his 60s, was arrested.
The pond owner faces a jail term of up to six months, a maximum fine of RM2,000 or both.

“The owners did not obtain a licence to rear the dogs and as such, City Hall has seized the dogs,” Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohan Singh said.

Ting and his wife Yong Su Cheng, 28, felt sympathetic towards the owner and have forgiven him.
“However, I strongly urge the authorities to put the dogs to sleep as they are too dangerous.”

source: The Star

Once again, my heart breaks when I read this news. Another dogs will be put to sleep because of the irresponsible owner. Forgive the owner but put to sleep the dog? Come on!! They are doing what they supposed to do! They are protecting the owner. Do you expect them to come to you, and said "sorry, you are not allowed to go in, please go out." If only they could talk, they would! But, they are dogs. They bark and bite. It's the owner's responsibility to tied the dogs when he/she is not around. It's the owner's responsibility to control their dogs, and not just let them wandering around.

The one who should responsible is the owner, not the dogs. So, please stop asking the authorities to put to sleep the dogs when this kind of case happened. The dogs are not stray, the dogs have an OWNER!

Do you think whenever this things happened and you put the sleep the dogs, the problem solve? The stupid idiotic owner could buy another dogs, exactly like that, and cause another nightmare like this.

If only those dogs could talk...... :'(

Explosion at Empire Shopping Gallery

By the time I opened Facebook this morning, the first news I got from friends' status was the explosion at Empire Shopping Gallery. It happened as early as around 3.30am in the morning, and the explosion was heard from as far away as Bangsar.

Entrance of Subang Jaya from federal highway

The exact explosion was located at the entrance of Subang Jaya from Federal Highway. Four people were hurt in that explosion, and the police has yet determine the cause of the blast but damage is extensive, affecting the parking lot and many outlets on the basement level and even the ground floor. Nearly the entire stretch of the front portion of the newly-built mall was blown out, damaging a number of cafes, restaurants and clothing stores including Tangs and Starbucks Coffee.

Four people who injured are two Nepalese security guards and a couple. They received minor scrapes and bruises.

The moment I recalled Empire Shopping Gallery, what first crossed in my mind was there's a pet shop. Thank God the animals there are alright. I'm sure they must be very shock, and barked loudly at the moment. One of my Facebook friend who live nearby said that her dog kept barking for whole night because of that explosion.
Some of the dogs who has been rescued from the location
Hope the police could investigate this incident soon, and the mall could operate as normal again. Well, obviously they should be more careful so this incident won't happened again.
